Can I just take 1 class?

Absolutely! If you would just like to learn one part of the process you are welcome to book a single class. Please note that if you do not book the full experience you will either need to do the other part on your own or you may hire us to complete the other parts in order for your board to be ready to ride.

Is it easy?

We will guide you with aloha every step of the way with these classes but surfboard building does take some elbow grease so be ready to get dirty & put in some work! ;)

How long are the classes?

If you are working on your own board classes can be 6-8 hours/day. We also offer a expedited class where we share the process using multiple boards to avoid curing times which would be a 3-6 hour process.

Is this grom friendly? Age requirements?

We love groms but unfortunately due to the tools involved with board construction we have a 18 year old age requirement.

Do you teach Carbon Vacuum Bagging?

We offer a Carbon Board Construction class which teaches you how to laminate your board with carbon but does not teach the Carbon Vacuum Bagging technique.

Board Building Part 2: Poly Lamination Class (Clear or Color)

This poly lamination class teaches you how to glass your own surfboard using industry-standard techniques. You’ll learn how to laminate your shortboard or longboard with clear or custom color resin work. This is the ideal next step after shaping — and the perfect way to bring your board to life.

Board Building Part 2: Carbon Board Construction Class

In this one-on-one carbon board construction class on Oʻahu, you’ll learn how to carbon laminate your surfboard or foilboard using high-performance carbon fiber techniques. You’ll prepare materials & learn how to laminate your board using carbon fiber.

Board Building FULL EXPERIENCE Combination Class: Build Your Custom Surfboard or Foilboard (Part 1 + Part 2)

If you want the full experience of building your own surfboard or foilboard from start to finish, this combination class gives you a bundle of any Part 1 and Part 2 workshops.
